Arlene Carlstrom Ogren, 96, of Thomasville, NC, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at the Piedmont Crossing retirement community in Thomasville, NC.

Arlene was born in Joliet and raised in Lockport. She lived in the Chicago area, including Glen Ellyn, until 1972 when she relocated to Fort Lauderdale, FL with her husband Carl upon his retirement. She and her husband were graduates of Lockport Central High School. While living in the Chicago area she attended the Evangelical Covenant Church.

Arlene was preceded in death by her husband Carl Ogren, her parents David and Mabel Carlstrom, and her brother Jack Carlstrom.

Arlene is survived by her three sons: David of High Point, NC, Douglas of Belews Creek, NC, and Thomas of Pennington, NJ. She is also survived by two foster children, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton Street, Lockport, IL 60441 for a memorial service at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 24, 2013.
