BENN E. EHRICH JR.
Age 83, of Wesley Chapel FL, former longtime resident of Safety Harbor FL and Crete IL, passed away Monday, April 15th, 2019 at his home in Wesley Chapel FL.
Benn is survived by his loving family, wife of 62 years; Arlene Ehrich (Welk) whom he married September 8th, 1956, children, Dawn (Dave) Pelkey, Ross (Roberta) Ehrich, Brad Ehrich, Brian (Kyle) Ehrich, Mary (David) Prinkey, former daughter-in-law, Amy Ehrich, sister-in-law, Myrna Benzing, brother-in-law, George Huffman, 19 grandchildren, Heather Grow, Vicki (Dana) Shuster, Amber (Bobby) Mullins, Aaron (Elyse) Szala, Kate Hughes, Matt (Chelsea Gray) Ehrich, Becky (Josh) Cole, John (Brittney Buckner) Ehrich, Joe (Megan) Ehrich, Alyssa Ehrich, Courtney Ehrich, Chloe Ehrich, PJ (Amber) Bowman, Ethan (Emily) Bowman, Teddy (Chelsea) Bowman, Billy Owens, Morgan Owens, Benjamin Owens, 13 great grandchildren, Keaton Grow, Hannah Grow, Journey Shuster, CJ Molina, Rylee Mullins, Cassidy Szala, Kinsley Szala, Beatrice Hughes, Jacob Ehrich, Evelyn Ehrich, Avery Ehrich, Kayden Ehrich, Archer Bowman and many nieces and nephews.
Benn was preceded in death by his parents, Benn & Angeline Ehrich, Sr (Jarvis), sisters, Sharon Ehrich, Marilyn Huffman and grandson Andrew Ehrich.
Benn was 1954 graduate of Bloom High School in Chicago Heights IL and a United States Navy Veteran. He was employed by Allis-Chalmers in Harvey IL as a Millwright for 23 years before retiring from Wheelabrator in Tampa FL. Benn was an avid outdoorsman who greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Funeral service, Monday, April 22nd 2019 at 1:00 PM at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church, 2405 Phillippe Parkway, Safety Harbor, FL 34695.
Interment with full military honors, Thursday, June 20th 2019 at 11:00 AM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood IL.
