Bernadette J. McKeown (Hayes), age 85, a longtime resident of Palos Heights, formerly of Chicago, passed away at her home surrounded by her four daughters on Thursday, June 3, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Arthur L. McKeown, Jr.; Loving mother of Kitty White, Molly (Mike) Leone, Marijo (Bob) Dubin, Cara (Joe) Welsh; cherished grandmother of Maddie, Mikey, Samantha, Zoe, Duncan, Grace, Artie, Maisey and Patrick; dear daughter of the late William and late Bernadette (Hughes) Hayes; dearest sister of late Pat (Paul) Hudak, late Joyce (Don) Esposito, late Margo (Jerry) Clements, Chris (late Don) Davis and Terri (Late Brian) Hill; fond sister in law of late Kay McKeown; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was an office manager for Catholic Charities and an executive assistant for Booz Allen. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Sunday, June 6, 2021, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Due to the COVID 19 Restrictions the funeral services for Bernadette will be held privately. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palos Heights Public Library would be appreciated.
