Age 92 of New Lenox, formerly of Joliet, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Lemont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lemont, IL. Edna was born in Joliet, IL to the late Amadio and Angeline (Talarico) (nee Picciolo) DiMonte. Beloved wife of the late James S. McBride; loving mother of James (Joan Young) McBride, David (Diana) McBride, the late Jeffrey McBride, William (Bette) McBride, Patrick (Lucy) McBride, and Peggy McBride; cherished grandmother of Justin (Jenny) McBride, the late Christine McBride, Zoe (Serge) Treyger, Katie (late Jason) Jesunas, Kevin (Mary) McBride, Irene (Richard) Anderson, Audrey (Jesse) Burgess, Moses (Taylor) McBride, Samuel (Sarah) McBride, Maggie McBride, Isaac McBride, Abigail (Josh) Sherwood, Ezra McBride, Linda (Logan) Torgerson, Patrick McBride Jr., Alexandra (Daniel) Manjarrez; proud great grandmother of 25 (with 3 on the way); dear sister of the late Joseph (late Sandy) DiMonte, dear aunt to Jerri Walsh, Joyce Stastny, Jean Callicoat and Matt DiMonte. Mom to six, but second mom to so many others. She had a lasting impact on everyone. Edna's life revolved around her family. She and husband Jim "Bud" worked so hard to give their six kids a warm, loving home with every opportunity to excel. She shaped them with a love to learn and explore by sharing her own love of music, dancing, the outdoors, sports and travel. She and Jim enjoyed many years of snow birding in their RVs. She loved being a fashionista as much as she loved being social. Sitting in the sunshine and listening to Kenny Rogers were favorites. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 1:00pm until the time of Funeral Service at 3:00pm.
