Age 55, of Lockport, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox, IL. Ed was born in Ames, IA to Marylou Poska (Vincent) and Ronald Peterson. Beloved husband of Cari Peterson (Potter); loving father of Chantel Howell, Mica Ward, and Mia Peterson; loved son of Ronald (Karen) Peterson and Marylou Poska; dear brother of the late Douglas Peterson, Dennis (Jennifer) Peterson, Pamela (Dan) Perovic, Michael (Tena) Peterson, and Ronald (Samantha) Peterson; cherished uncle, cousin and friend of many. Ed was a talented artist/painter, a writer, a gardener, and an exceptional cook. He frequently enjoyed gathering with and cooking for his family. He touched the lives of many, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 3pm – 8pm. Everyone will meet at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 S. Jefferson St., Lockport, IL on Friday, March 31, 2023 for Mass of Catholic Burial at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Romeoville, IL.
