Age 84, of New Lenox formerly of the Beverly area, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 6, 2022, surrounded by his family. George was born in Oak Park, IL to the late Herman and Frances (nee Lumkes) Vanderschoot. He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 49 years, Carol (nee Ryan) Vanderschoot; children, Lisa (Mike) Janosek, George (Sheri) Vanderschoot and Shannon (Dave) Jeglinski; cherished grandfather of Matthew, Devin, Cailey and Delaney Janosek, Georgie Vanderschoot, Lauren, Anna Mae and Savannah Jeglinski; dear brother of the late Donna (the late Hill) Hase and Gerard (Deborah) Vanderschoot; dearest brother-in-law to James (the late Cozy) Ryan, the late Michael (Florence) Ryan, Robert (Mary Kay) Ryan, Diane (Kurt) Gifford, the late Janet Mclaughlin, Richard Ryan, the late Jacqueline Oakes, Joe Ryan, and Tom (Beth) Ryan. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Frances Rd. New Lenox, IL on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from 4pm – 9pm. Funeral Services on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 with visitation from 9am until time of Funeral Service at 10:00am. Interment will be private.
