86, passed away Saturday December 3, 2011 at Franciscan Village, Lemont. Born in Chicago, to the late Emil and Frances (nee Kubitza) Hanka. Survived by her loving family; nieces, Judy (Alan) Malinowski, Susan (Joseph) Niosi, Cheryl (Greg) Darsow; nephews Bill Hanka and Ken Hanka; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; brothers William (Honey) Hanka and Harry Hanka. Gertrude was employed by Western Electric for 35 years, retiring in 1983. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching the White Sox. Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL 60451 on Wednesday, December, 7 2011 from 3:00PM until time of Funeral Service at 6:00PM. Interment private at Maryhill Cemetery, Niles, IL.
