He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edward and Dorothy Seagran, and his paternal grandparents, Bernard and Catherine Thome.
Jim graduated from St. Lawrence High School with the class of 1983. He was a devoted and hard-working employee for Com Ed for 37 years. He would even travel out of the country for work and even told his family that the most rewarding thing he ever did was going to Puerto Rico to help with hurricane damage. Jim was a die-hard sports fan, especially the White Sox, Blackhawks, Bears, and Notre Dame. If you had nowhere to watch a game, you could always go to Jim’s to watch it with him in his garage. It is said that anyone that knew Jim loved him. After his recent retirement he was looking forward to spending time and boating at Hudson Lake in Indiana with his friends as well as traveling. He was also extremely excited to be a grandfather for the first time. Jim had so many cherished friends and would help anyone at need, day, or night. Overall else though Jim loved his family, he was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and son and will be missed by all that knew him.
Services for James will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 with a visitation at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, in Frankfort, IL from 2pm until the time of the funeral service at 6:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to White Sox Charities in Jim’s name would be appreciated.
