Joan Monreal (nee Buczkowski)
82 of New Lenox passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Lightways Hospice, Joliet, IL. Joan was born in Chicago to the late Michael and Anne (nee Wozniak) Buczkowski. Beloved wife of 64 years of Edward Monreal; loving mother of Lee (Rebecca) Monreal, Edward (late Cindi) Monreal, the late William Monreal, and Paul (Susan) Monreal; cherished grandmother of Lee Jr, (Kim) Monreal, Dan (Missy) Monreal, Aidan DeRoo, Lisa Malone, Sheri (Bill) Clemente, Kevin (Angel) Malone, Eddie Monreal Jr., William (Gabrielle) Monreal, Amie Monreal, and Rebecca Monreal; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; dear sister of the late Ray (Cindy) Buczkowski, the late Rose (late Pete) Kirn, and the late Michael “Butch” Buczkowski; loved aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Joan, along with her husband Ed, owned and operated New Lenox Auto Parts. She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. In lieu of flowers memorials in Joan’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 3pm – 8pm.
