80, of Frankfort, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox. John was born in Detroit, MI to the late Charles and Elizabeth (nee Moore) Selheimer. Beloved husband of the late Mary C. (nee Cassidy) Selheimer; loving father of Nancy (the late Daniel V.) Burke; cherished "Poppy" of Elizabeth A. Burke and Mary C. Burke; dear brother of the late Daniel Selheimer. John was a retired Systems Analyst for U.S. Steel and spent time in the U.S. Naval Reserve. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 3pm – 9pm. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, June 3, 2017 with prayers at the funeral home at 10:15am then to St Anthony Catholic Church, Frankfort for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, IL.
