LEROY E. KOSCHNITZKI
Age 91, of Crestwood, passed away Saturday, February 27th, 2021 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice house in Joliet.
Leroy is survived by his loving family, sons, Kenneth (Cathleen) Koschnitzki, David (Michelle) Koschnitzki, siblings, Emil Koschnitzki, Wayne (Judy) Koschnitzki, grandchildren, MaryKathleen Koschnitzki, Julia Koschnitzki, Aidan Koschnitzki, Jeanelle (Kevin) Carpenter, Jordan Bratlien, Jessica (Jake) Kozlowski, Matthew Koschnitzki, Kurtis Flondor, Nicole Koschnitzki, Madison Flondor, great grandchildren, Hailey Carpenter, Cole Carpenter, Garrett Carpenter, Ella Kozlowski, Lilah Kozlowski, numerous nieces, nephews and loving companion Dorothy Chiuso.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, Emil & Marie Koschnitzki (Weinaut), former wife, Mary Koschnitzki (Scartozzi). son, Thomas Koschnitzki, siblings, Laverne Koschnitzki, Ronald (Dolly) Koschnitzki, Edward (Kae) Koschnitzki and sister in-law, Gail Koschnitzki.
Leroy was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Korean War. He was a longtime member as well as the oldest member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Worth and a member of the American Legion in Evergreen Park as well. Leroy retired from Illinois Bell after 43 years of service
DUE TO THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC; EVERYONE MUST WEAR A MASK AND PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING TO ATTEND. ALSO, FOOD IS NOT PERMITTED IN THE FUNERAL HOME AT THIS TIME.
Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Thursday, March 4th, 2021 from 4:00 PM until time of funeral service at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
