Margie Paulauski, 90 years young, left this life suddenly on Monday August 6th, 2018 after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her son, grandchildren, and great grandchildren at the Community Hospice McGraw Center in Jacksonville Florida.
Marge, as she was known by her family, was born January 10, 1928 in Corinth, Missisippi to Sallie Austin-Davis (nee Hatley) & Leo Pratt. She married Grady Settlemires and later married Anthony J. Paulauski, both of whom preceeded her in death.
Margie lived a simple life, and although she did not have much in the way of material things, she had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off of her back. She had a wonderful sense of humor and could appreciate a good joke. Her laugh and smile lit up the room.
She loved her family fiercely and was the one constant they could always count on through anything life threw their way.
She is survived by her only child, Ken (Diane) Settlemires of Kissimmee, FL, stepsons Tony (Barb) Paulauski of Tinley Park IL, and Dennis (Darlene) Paulauski of Brighton MI. Four grandchildren; Kim (Brian) Bell of Jacksonville FL, Kristi (Allan) Danielwicz of Mokena IL, Scott Settlemires of Palm Coast FL, and Sean Settlemires of Jacksonville Beach FL. Nine great grandchildren; Anthony Almodovar of Mokena IL, Jordan Wolfson of Jacksonville FL, Tyler Knapick of Crown Point IN, Aidan Settlemires of Munster IN, Avery and Morgan Aniskevich of Jacksonville FL, Abigail and James Danielwicz of Mokena IL, and Coen Settlemires of Gainesville FL. Step grandchildren Tracy Paulauski Doell, Dennis Paulauski, Mike Paulauski, Tony Paulauski, Andy Paulauski, Megan Liesse, Stephanie Liesse and their families, as well as her beloved former Daughter in Law Susan Chadwick of St. Augustine FL, and numerous other loved extended family and friends.
