Marilyn Ann “Lynn” Echlin (nee Laska)

Age 81, a resident of Elwood, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 19, 2023. Lynn was born in Chicago to the late Maryan “Mike” and Josephine (nee Gruca) Laska. Beloved wife of 58 years of the late Thomas R. Echlin; loving mother of Michael (Dianne) Echlin and Kathy (Eric) Peterson; cherished grandmother of Amanda Robson, Claire and Evan Echlin, Jack and Jimmy Peterson; proud great grandmother Brenden, Charlotte, Emberlyee and Finnleigh; adored aunt of many nieces and nephews. Lynn was employed by Stefanos and Associates for many years and most recently volunteered at the Silver Cross Encore Shop. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Lynn will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E Francis Road New Lenox IL 60451 on Sunday, June 25, 2023, from 2pm – 6pm. Everyone will meet at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 255 West North St. Manhattan IL 60442 on Monday, June 26, 2023, for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Manhattan, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lynn’s name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org would be appreciated.
