Marvel C. Woodcock (nee Cantu)
84, late of Joliet, formerly of New Lenox passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet. Survived by her husband Ed, who she had been married to for 64 years, but they had been in love for 68 years; her children Marcy (Richard) Simon, Marvis "Kitten" Hanbaum and Ted Woodcock; grandchildren, Adam (Harmony) Woodcock, Heather (fiancé Nathan Meyer) Hanbaum, Nick Simon and Tony Simon; great- grandchildren, Logan and Max Woodcock; a sister Terry Cantu; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by twins in infancy; her parents; three sisters and a brother. Marvel was an avid card player, especially bridge and poker. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 2-4PM & 6-8PM. Funeral Service Friday, January 24, 2014 at 10:00AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Private.
