79, of Watertown, South Dakota passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in Homer Glen. Merrill was born in Metropolis, IL to the late Ira and Mae (nee Tessie) Anderson. Beloved husband of Charlotte (nee Ediger); loving father of Brenda (Perry) Krestel, John, Tim and Steven(Rachael Hartwig) ; cherished grandfather of nine and great grandfather of two. Merrill was a U.S. Marine corps Veteran. He was retired from Ford Motor Company, Chicago Heights. Services will be held at Wesleyan Methodist Church in Watertown, SD on Friday, September 4 at 10:30 AM. The family will meet at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd., Elwood, IL 60421 on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 10:00 AM for a 10:30 AM committal service with military honors.
