83, of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2015. Beloved husband of Marie nee Lathrop; loving father of Greg Colanto, Jeff (Esther) Colanto, Tim (Cheryl) Colanto, and Susan (Matthew) Kojs; cherished grandfather of Jason Colanto, Jennifer Colanto, Gregory (Sameena) Colanto, Tim (Heather) Colanto, Matthew Kojs, Daniel Colanto, Olivia Colanto and Kevin Kojs. Daniel was a veteran of the National Guard. He was preceded in death by his siblings Bernice (late Buzz) Clark and late Robert Colanto. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451, on Monday, August 3, 2015 from 3-8 PM. Funeral service Tuesday, August 4, 2015 with chapel prayers at 9:30 AM to St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd Ave., New Lenox, IL 60451 for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Maplewood Cemetery, New Lenox, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association, PO Box, 96011, Washington DC, 20090 would be appreciated.
