81, of New Lenox, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Fran nee Graham; loving father of Maria (Steve) Bobzin, Dianna Ingram, Lisa Heddins, and Susanna (Brian) Arteaga; cherished grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of 11; dear brother of Phyllis (Bob) Arthaud, Michael (Judy) Barnett, Ron (Sharon) Barnett, and Barbara (late Ralph Tissiere; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents Ned Sr. and Mary Barnett nee Fitzpatrick; one sister Jean (late Bill) Huston, and 5 brothers: Robert, Ned Jr., Paul, Tom (Ardith) Barnett, and Patrick Barnett; and one grand-daughter Danielle Librizzi nee Ingram. John was an Air Force Veteran. He enjoyed wood working, polka dancing, and playing Yahtzee. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 2-7 PM. Funeral service Monday, December 28, 2015 at 10:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
