RICHARD C. DASHER

Age 89, of New Lenox, passed away Thursday, January 17th, 2019 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.

Richard is survived by his loving family, wife, Theresa Dasher (Dickelman), children, Rick (Cheryl) Dasher, Denise (Tom) Uraski, Greg (Joyce) Dasher, grandchildren, Michael (Corrinne) Burke, Jodi McGlone, Kelli (Frank) Lattyak, Lori (Dave) Mainprize, Thomas Uraski, Matthew Dasher, great grandchildren, Jacob Burke, Dylan Dasher, Noah Burke, Brody McGlone, Aria Lattyak, Cameron Lattyak and Reese Mainprize.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Harry & Kathryne Dasher (Curran) and siblings Dorothy Martindale and Mary Lou Weigand.

Richard was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in New Lenox. Richard was a celebrated baseball & basketball player in his hometown of Waukon Iowa and retired as a federal government employee.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Monday, January 21st, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service, Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019 with prayers at the funeral home at 10:30 AM and then to St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. Second Avenue, New Lenox, IL 60451 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment, Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
