88, late of New Lenox, passed away Monday, September 19, 2011 at Salem Village, Joliet. Survived by several nieces and nephews and his dear friends David and Joyce Davis and family. Preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Balbinot); a step-son Paul Gustafson; parents, Oscar and Carolina (nee Ronning); brothers, Oscar and Elmer; sisters, Ethel, Eleanor and Adaline. Dick fought at Pearl Harbor and was a retired Senior Chief Gunners Mate, U.S. Navy after 44 years of service. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 for a Memorial Visitation on Friday, September 23, 2011 from 9:00AM until time of Memorial Service at 10:00AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn I Memorial Park, Joliet.
