73, of Mokena, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Silver Cross Hospital. Richard was born in Chicago to the late John and Bernice (nee Haj) Petro. Beloved husband of Carolyn (nee Gudausky); loving father of Christopher (Erica), Brent (Anne), Keith (Jennifer) and Michele Petro; cherished Papa of Zachary, Alexis, Cailey, Brent II, Teagan, Brayden and Gage; dear brother of Patricia (the late Dennis) Dybek. Richard was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He was retired from Phoenix Closures after over 30 years of service. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 Monday, December 14, 2015 from 3-9PM. Funeral Service Tuesday, December 15, 2015 with chapel prayers at 9:15AM, to St. Mary Catholic Church, Mokena for a 10:00AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
