Sarah L. Villafuerte

Sarah Lindsay (nee Hoover) Villafuerte, age 36 passed away suddenly on May 12, 2023 in Matteson Il.

She is survived by her children Eden and Elias. Twin sister Megan (James) Dolosic, brother Bill (Heidi)Simpson, sister Laura (David) Lynn and brother Steven Simpson. Niece Grace, nephews Samuel, Charlie, Logan, and Clark.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Logan and Carol (nee DeValk) Hoover, maternal grandparents, Arthur and Hilda DeValk, and paternal grandparents Roy and Edna Hoover.

Sarah was born and raised in Mokena Il and graduated from Ridgewood Baptist Academy. As a child she enjoyed singing and performing. Sarah always saw the beauty in things around her. Sarah had a large heart and was always concerned about others, even complete strangers. She had artistic gifts, having sold several of her original paintings. Sarah made friends wherever she went and could talk to anyone. She did well in sales and her business selling antiques. Sarah was a Mother who loved her children and her family. Life was hard on Sarah’s starting with the loss of her parents early on. Three years ago, Sarah was a loving mother of two beautiful babies, homeowner, and successful salesperson. More tragedy was too much for her gentle soul. Mental health and self-worth lead to numbing the pain, then addiction.

Sarah was not her addiction.

Sarah was hilarious and a quick wit. Her mother’s nickname for her was Sarah Sassafras.

Sarah danced so good, we thought she was adopted.

Sarah saw beauty in everything and the worth in all people.

Sarah lit up the room when she came in.

Everyone who met Sarah became a friend.

Sarah had the soul of an artist and a free spirit.

Sarah loved her family and fiercely loved her children.

Sarah, you are LOVED, and we miss you terribly. May you be at peace.

Services for Sarah will be held on Saturday May 27, 2023 with a visitation at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E Francis Road in New Lenox, from 10AM to a Celebration of Life at 3PM.
