Timothy A. Kavanaugh
62, late of New Lenox formerly of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away at his home on April 4, 2012 with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Corky (nee Atwood) Kavanaugh; loving father of Kristina, Kelley and Kasey Kavanaugh; dearest son of Dolores (nee McGrath) Kavanaugh and the late Gerard Kavanaugh; fond brother of Susan Kavanaugh, Karen (Frank) Gregory, Gerri (John) Bramfeld, Kevin (Denise) Kavanaugh, Terese (Kent) Hallgren, Kathy (Louis) Truffa, John Kavanaugh and Mary (Kenny) Padizor; cherished grandfather of Destiny and Devin Kavanaugh and many nieces and nephews. Tim was a Boilermaker for Local #1 in Chicago, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in Vietnam, a member of the American Legion post #1977 in New Lenox and the Sportsman Club in Manteno. Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL 60451 on Monday, April 9, 2012 from 3 until 8 PM. Funeral service on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel, Interment will follow to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
