ALFRED “DURK” W. LEE III

Age 88, of Frankfort, passed away on Sunday, December 11th, 2022 at his home in Frankfort.

Durk is survived by his loving family, wife of 68 years Linda Lee (Dietz), children, Linda Lee, Durk Lee, Andrea (Paul) Turay, brother, Robert Lee, grandchildren, Nathan Lee, Rebecca Lee, Jennifer Reid, Kevin (Caitlyn) Turay, Leah Turay, great grandchildren, Brooklyn Reid and Jacob Turay.

Durk was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred W. & Martha Lee II (Bell).

Durk was a 1972 graduate of Northwestern and attended Jim Evans Academy of Professional Umpiring. He was employed by and retired from Standard Oil in 1992. Durk Umpired Semi Pro, College and High School Baseball for 40 years; he was a former volunteer Fireman in Park Forest and a member of Revolution Church in Manhattan. Durk was an avid gardener and landscaper.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Thursday, December 15th, 2022 from 3:00 PM until time of funeral service at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private at Trinity St. John Church Cemetery, Long Island NY.
