ALICE V. MENDEZ (VILLARREAL)

Age 93 of Frankfort, passed away on Sunday, December 1st, 2024 at the Cottages of New Lenox. 

Alice is survived by her loving family, daughters, Angeline (David) Heath, Carmella (James) Kimble, grandchildren, Julie Anne (Kirk) Klapperich, Charles Heath, Jonathan (Jaci Lunsford) Heath, Chris (Kristin) Kimble, Katherine (Louis) O’Connell, great grandchildren, Andrew Klapperich, Alitza Klapperich, Angelo Heath, Ava Heath, Paris Heath, Maddy Heath, Abby Szumski, Lyla Kimble, Ruby Kimble, Ivy Kimble, Violet Kimble, Daisy Kimble, Jack O’Connell, Nathan O’Connell, Joann O’Connell, great great grandchildren, Cameron Klapperich, Isaiah Klapperich and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Villarreal and Flora (Joe) Navarro (Guajardo), seven siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Alice was a very active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Frankfort; formerly employed by the Chicago Post Office and retired from U.S. Customs Service. She was also very active in Senior Activities in the Frankfort and Mokena communities. 

Family will receive friends at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Tuesday, December 10th, 2024 from 9:00 AM until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Frankfort IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
