Age 78, a resident of New Lenox, IL passed away on April 17, 2017. Beloved husband of Patricia (Manus); loving father of Lori (Jerry) Martin, Linda (Jeff) Bertucci, Tina Stewart, and Rickey Gress; cherished grandfather of Andy, Lisa, Jessica, Jerry, Brandon, Kayla, Bradly, Anthony, and Ryan; and great-grandfather of Rylee, Aiden, Sawyer, and Isabella; dear brother of Charlie Gress, Eleanor (late Jim) White, Jimmy (Pat) Gress, Eugene (Vicky) Gress, Georgie Gress, Ronnie (Jean) Gress, Bobby (late Janet) Gress, Patty (Marsha) Gress, and Darlene (Mike) Pudzimis. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Adeline Gress (Chojda), his daughter Debbie (Ted) Kanya, grandson Richard, and his siblings Dolores (late Joe) Lopresti, Lenny Gress, and Nancy Gress. Andrew was a member of Local 597, member of St. Mary Church in Mokena, and former coach for the Little League in Mokena. He was a United States Army Veteran Airborne 101, and enjoyed socializing, and spending time with family and friends. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 9:30 AM until time of Chapel Prayers at 11:30 AM to St. Mary Catholic Church, 19515 115th Ave, Mokena, IL 60448 for a 12:00 Noon Mass of Christian Burial.
