Obituary
Ann Marie Kolavo (Cassidy)
On August 26th, Ann passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 84. She is now reunited with Frank, the love of her life, who passed away less than two years ago.
A devout Catholic, Ann always made it a priority to find time to say her daily Rosary and offered countless novenas for those in need over the years. So no one was surprised when they learned that she passed away holding her rosary tightly in her hand. No doubt she prayed her way to Heaven and was given the gift of a very peaceful passing.
Ann revolved her entire life around her loving husband and family. Married at 18 years old, Ann was an adoring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother for the last 65 years! Devoted to raising her 4 children and spoiling her 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In the end, nothing gave her more joy than spending time with her ever-growing family.
Ann was the ultimate hostess! She loved to entertain family and friends and went to great lengths to put on the Ritz for even the simplest of gatherings. Holidays and birthdays were always over the top with special traditions that her children are repeating with their own families today.
Ann also maintained strong friendships dating back to her childhood girlfriends, her cousins, tennis friends, neighbors, and State Farm couples. Many of whom she spent time with over the past several months. Ann also treasured her “new” friends who she met in Florida over the last 25 years. Golfing, wining, dining, 100’s of sunsets at the Beach Club and frequent driveway parties made for a wonderful retirement for both Ann & Frank.
Ann was a resident of Orland Park, IL and Bonita Springs, FL. She is survived by her children Terri (Meade) Boutwell of San Anselmo, CA, Craig (Amy) Kolavo of Highland, NC, Jackie (Brian) Tracy of Delafield, WI, and Chris (Sharon) Kolavo of New Lenox, IL.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband Frank; her parents, Phillip and Dorothy Cassidy; and her brothers, Robert and Phillip.
Ann will be truly missed by so many, but she will never be forgotten.
May eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon her. Amen
