Anthony DiOrio
On Saturday, September 3, 2022, Anthony J. DiOrio loving husband, father, papa, uncle and dear friend, passed away peacefully and is now with the Lord at age 74. Anthony was born on December 3, 1947, in Chicago. He was the beloved son of Hilda and Carlo DiOrio. He had 1 sibling, John (Karen) DiOrio. He is survived by his wife Cathy (nee LaFlamboy), his children Melissa (Eric) Nawracaj and Mark (Rebecca). He was a loving and proud Papa of Nikolai, Isabella, Noah, and Anthony. He was a compassionate brother-in-law to John (Jeanine) LaFlamboy and Frank (late Jane) Radostits. He is also survived by my many nieces and nephews. Anthony was a registered pharmacist for over 50 years. He owned Southside Pharmacy in Englewood for over 40 years. He has been an inspiration to anyone who entered his life. He enjoyed creating beautiful stained-glass art and was an avid music lover. His biggest passion was spending time with his grandchildren; especially attending their sporting events. He will be missed but will live forever in our memories. Our family takes comfort in knowing that he will now be free from the challenges he faced while living with ALS. Anthony is now living a beautiful life with his loved ones and the Lord while watching over all of us. Visitation Thursday September 8th from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 Francis Road New Lenox Illinois 60451. Funeral Friday 9:00 AM from the funeral home to St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 West 2nd Avenue New Lenox Illinois 60451, for the 10:00 AM Christian Mass.
