Arthur D. Mandelco

Art (Arty) Mandelco, age 72, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025. Born on May 21, 1952, Art grew up in Chicago Heights, IL. A graduate of Bloom High School and Southern Illinois University, he began a sales career in the jewelry industry, residing in Chicago and Frankfort, IL with his family. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War as an MP, earning the National Defense Medal stationed in Karlsruhe, Germany. He enjoyed biking and rollerblading and skiing in Colorado. He also enjoyed riding his BMW motorcycle, a passion that began in his youth going to motorcross tournaments.

Art is survived by his children; Don (Jane) Mandelco , Gina (Anthony) Mandelco- Malgioglio, grandchildren; Milana, Camilla, Giovanni Malgioglio and his former wife Sherry Mandelco.

Proceeded in death by his parents Donald and Matilda Jane Mandelco.

With his friendly, fun loving, outgoing personality, Art had many friends throughout the country. He will be deeply missed by his family who can only take comfort that he is in the loving hands of the lord.

Internment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery on Friday February 28, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.
