Audrey Paniak

Baba(Audrey F. Paniak) passed away peacefully at home on February 18, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Born on August 10, 1938, Baba spent 86 wonderful years spreading joy to any and all around her. A comfort to many and a joy to all, most of her time was spent taking care of her family, her friends, and her community. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and many cherished memories. Preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Florence Luberda, her husband Leonard Paniak, and her dear friend, Richard Buczko. Survived by daughter Paula(Tom) Pospisil, Son Eric Sr(Meryl) Paniak, dear friend to Cheri Alexander, Grandmother to Samantha Florence Pospisil, Nicole(Steve) Dirks, Eric Jr.(Emily) Paniak, Cassie(Mike) Koma, Rachel(Jake) Brockett, and Nathan Paniak. Great grandmother to Xander, Zachary, Amarra, Piper, Waverly, Ellie, Tessa, Poppy, Rocco, Vivienne, Cole Leonard, Dominic, and Brooklyn. And dear friend to Audrey, Mary, Ed, Sandy, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Forever in our hearts. Ja cie kocham. Idz z Bogiem.

Services for Audrey will begin on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL from 4pm-8pm. Services will continue the following day with a brief visitation at the funeral home from 8:30-9:30am with a Mass being held at St. Jude Catholic Church in New Lenox at 10am. Audrey will be laid to rest at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Justice. In lieu of flowers, donations to Stepping Stones Recovery Center would be appreciated.
