Barbara F. Kucera (nee Wasilewski)

Age 83, of Joliet, IL, formerly of Palos Park, IL, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 23, 2023. Barbara was born in Chicago, IL to the late Alexander and Sophie (nee Gurecki) Wasilewski. Loving mother of Angeline L. DiPasquale and Lisa A. (Craig Wirtz) Alexander-Wirtz; cherished grandmother of Donovan A. DiPasquale, Quinn A. DiPasquale, Serena A. White, and Nicholas J. Alexander; dear sister of the late Michael (Carol) Wasilewski, and the late Richard (Jean) Wasilewski; she is also survived by dear friends and her three cats, Milo, Otis and Skylar. Barbara retired in 2001 from Midwest Operating Engineers Local 150, where she worked as an insurance claims adjuster for over 20 years. She was an avid Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago Bears fan, always inquiring, "What channel is the game on tonight"? Barbara will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service in celebration of Barbara's life will be held at a later date.
