Bob A. Kaufmann, age 73, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, March 28th, 2023 at his home in Olympia Fields.
Bob is survived by his beloved children, Katie (Adam) Zeigler, Jeff (Gina) Kaufmann, Becca (Kevin) Hanink, Scott (Rebecca) Kaufmann, and Anne (Ryan) McCool; his wonderful grandchildren, Kieran, Luke, Liam, Finn, Aiden, Story, Ethan, Wesley, Nora, Ben, Josie, Winnie, Blake, Cameron, who are shared with Peggy and Michael and three wonderful grandchildren on their way; sister, Jo Hilse; sister-in-law, Debbie Kaufmann; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Mildred Kaufmann; and his brother, Jerry Kaufmann.
Bob was and will forever be an incredible father, brother, grandpa and so much more. He was a guiding light, our literal teacher, and best friend. He had a way of supporting anyone around him better than anyone else could and was his family’s biggest cheerleader. Remembered as a John Deere enthusiast, die-hard Cubs fan, and Trivia fanatic.
Services for Bob will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023 with a visitation at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd, in New Lenox, from 11am until the time of service at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Bob’s name to the Future Farmers of America foundation.
