Bonnie Mae Ulstad., age 63, longtime resident of New Lenox formerly of University Park, passed away at her home on Friday, November 12, 2021.
Bonnie is survived by her loving family; husband David Ulstad; Kristin (Phil) Burnier and Karin (Jacob) Mentzer; grandchildren Irene, Rayna and Holden Burnier and Jackson and Raegan Mentzer; brother James Pettigrew; sisters Pam (Dan) Whorwell, Laura Johnson and Candace (Duane) Carpenter, also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents James W. and Clara (Burdick) Pettigrew and a sister Holly Wilson.
Bonnie was a teacher at Union School in Joliet, Rogus School in Frankfort and she was a substitute teacher for schools in the LincolnWay School district. She graduated from Crete Monee High School, Joliet Junior College and Governors State University. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of New Lenox where she belonged to the Hannah Circle and a member of the choir, an elected trustee for the New Lenox Library, an avid golfer and member of a sewing circle.
A memorial visitation will be held at New Lenox United Methodist Church, 339 W. Haven Ave. New Lenox IL 60451 on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM with a memorial service in the church at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements handled by Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox
