BRUCE W. JOHNSON

Age 82, of Mokena, passed away on Thursday, July 11th, 2019.

Bruce is survived by his loving family, wife of 62 ½ years, Carol Johnson (Sayre), children, Michael (Sheila) Johnson, Lori Hausherr, Kathy (Ted) Lingle, Sheri (William) Nagel, Vicky (Stephen) Hayes, sister, Joyce Bauer, grandchildren, Daniel (Ashlee) Johnson, David Johnson, Jack T. (Vickie) Hausherr, Jannine (Lee) Hofman, Chad (April) Hausherr, Master Sergeant Benjamin (Krystal) Hausherr, Cody (Kim) Hausherr, Krysia (Jack) Reynolds, Randon (Taylor) Lingle, Malai (Kyle) Chellios, Kaidon Lingle, Amanda Nagel, Kayce Nagel, Cale Hayes, Nolan Hayes, Bryce Hayes, Marla Hayes, great grandchildren, Carver Johnson, Oaklee Johnson, Trevor Hausherr, Emily Hausherr, Zach Hausherr, William Hausherr, Lucy Hausherr, Evie Hausherr, Kaydence Hausherr, Chase Hausherr, Hayden Hausherr, Fitz Chellios and beloved pet “Shatzi”.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Frances Johnson (Marshall), sister, Virginia Pfeiff and son in-law, Jack Hausherr.

Bruce was a partner of BEE DEE Builders for 44 years as well as a longtime member of the Elk’s club; he was an avid RVer (“Caveman”) and gardener.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Monday, July 15th, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service, Tuesday, July 16th, 2019 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 AM and then to St. Mary Catholic Church, 19515 115th, Avenue, Mokena IL for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment, Manhattan Center Cemetery, Manhattan IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cache Creek Animal Rescue, 1003 Star Lane, New Lenox, IL 60451 would be appreciated.
