Carmin Samuel Perry of South Holland, IL, passed away at the age of 93 on March 19, 2025 at Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY surrounded by his family. He is survived by his three daughters: Debra (Larry) Formentini of St. John, IN; Mary (Derrick) Love of Bloomington, IL ; and Phyllis (Phil) Panici of Paducah, KY; Proud grandfather of ten, great-grandfather of 21 and great-great-grandfather of 3; and longtime companion, Elaine Kukish. Carmin was the last surviving of his siblings and in-laws: Joseph (Betty) Perry, Jennie (Lou) Meneghin, and Nickie Perry and former wife and mother of his children, Therese Kowalik. Carmin enjoyed being with friends and family more than anything. Born to the late Phillip and Mary (nee Franzella) on Nov. 13, 1931 he was raised in Harvey, IL. Carmin served in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He worked for many years for the City of Harvey as a heavy equipment operator. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3rd, 10:00 am – until the time of prayers at 12:00 p.m. at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way in Frankfort, IL 60423 going to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail in Frankfort for a 12:30 p.m. Funeral Mass. Entombment following at Assumption Cemetery and Mausoleum in Glenwood.
