Carol Ann Siwinski

Carol A. Siwinski, age 87, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Condell Hospital with her family at her side.

She was born on April 28, 1937 to Melville and Rose Sanderson in Detroit Michigan. She married Jerome Siwinski, the love of her life, in June 1963. They were married 24 wonderful years until his death in early 1987.

Carol is survived by her beloved family: daughter Ann (Chris) Adlington, three grandchildren: Christopher (Ashley), Jonathan (Mariya) and Emily; and three great grandchildren: Chloe, Olivia and Jason Jerome; and daughter Stephany (Michael Stroz) Siwinski and their family, Victoria (Mike) and Kimberly (Hugh) and grandchildren James and Evie.

Carol was a loving wife and mother who stayed home to care for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was fortunate to meet two great grandchildren in person and spend time with them. She had a great love of books and cherished sharing the gift of books and reading with others. Carol was always ready to discuss books or make a recommendation for a good book. She passed this love of reading on to her family. This love of books led to her to her late-in-life calling as a librarian at St. Benedict School in Blue Island, IL. Carol will be dearly missed by all.
