Carole A. Lattz (nee Miazga)
79, of New Lenox, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox. Born in Chicago, IL to the late Matthew and Lillian (nee Mikolaitis) Miazga. Beloved wife of the late Myril Lattz; loving mother of John (Linda) Lattz and Mary (Chris) Reed; cherished grandmother of Dylan and Alyssa Lattz, and Mackenzie and Emma Reed; dear sister of Ronald (Cynthia) Miazga, James (Angela) Miazga, Marilyn Breeden, and Theresa (Richard) Swanson; loved aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Carole was a retired Elementary School Reading Teacher in Chicago Heights Dist. 170, Calumet Park Dist. 132 as well as working as a substitute teacher in New Lenox, Mokena, Frankfort, and Manhattan. Carole was an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox where she taught Religious Education, was a member of and past President of the C.C.W., a Eucharistic Minister to homebound parishioners, a member of the Funeral Friendship Choir, and a volunteer for St. Jude Trojan Catering making food for various occasions. She was also a member of South Suburban Reading Council. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Jude Catholic Church or Alzheimer's Association in Carole’s name would be appreciated. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 2pm-6pm. Funeral Services Monday, December 20, 2021 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30AM to St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM. Interment will be private at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park, IL.
