Age 19, tragically passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 after succumbing to injuries inflicted upon him on May 10, 2020. Beloved son of David and Jennifer (Silva) Baird; loving brother of Danielle and Ryan Baird; cherished grandson of Charles H. and Roberta (Deaville) Baird, Daniel and Jane (Michalik) Silva; dearest nephew and cousin of Denise Silva (Julianna Kowalewski-Silva), John Silva (Sophia, Matthew, Carmen), Bill Baird, John and Sheila (Vacey) Baird (John Jr, Kate), and many extended aunts, uncles and cousins; dear friend to numerous acquaintances.

Charles (Charlie/Chuck) grew up in New Lenox, Illinois making and sharing memories with family and friends. In his younger years he enjoyed playing with dinosaurs, Legos and video games. As he got older, he preferred hanging out with his friends and sharing his infectious smile and personality. He always liked to have his music playing with whatever he did. After graduating from high school, he worked as a cook and had been considering pursuing a career in culinary arts. Charles will always be in the memories of his family and friends.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
