83, of New Lenox, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at Maple Glen in Glen Ellyn, IL. Claudette was born in Chicago to the late Rufin and Marie (nee Melliott) Van Doorne. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth E. Lukes; loving mother of Mark (Beverley) Kirby, Susan (Mark) O’Donnell, Renee (Tony) Rodriguez; step mother of Ronda (Greg) Wallace, Kelly (Mark) Gerdes, and Kenneth II (Traci) Lukes; cherished grandmother of Ammy (John) Janiszewski, Mark (Liz) Kirby, Cody Kirby, Edwin Rodriguez, Mary O’Donnell, Cory and Tess Wallace, Max and Sam Gerdes, Ken III and Emma Lukes; great grandmother of Dillon and Harper Janiszewski, and Heather Kirby; dear sister of the late Yvette Skrodenis, the late Suzanne (late Howard) Rugen, and the late Mimi (Will) Manz. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Claudette’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM. Funeral service on Friday, November 9, 2018 with prayers in the funeral home at 9:30AM leaving for St. Jude Catholic Church 241 W. Second Ave, New Lenox for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
