D. JEAN TAAFFE

Age 93 of Crown Point IN, formerly of Frankfort IL, passed away on Thursday, July 13th, 2023 at Park Place of St. John IN.

Jean is survived by her loving family, children, Terri (Bill) Mirenic, Bill (Kim) Taaffe, Janice (Tim) Kirk, Barb (Conrad) Sobol, Marilyn (Michael) Paez, siblings, Alice Rooney, Dan Doherty, Tim (Barb) Doherty, Eileen Doherty, 17 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Taaffe, son, Tom Taaffe, siblings, Marilyn Keane, Jim Doherty and grandson Jeff Arnott.

Jean was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mokena; a retired school teacher and avid Bridge player, reader and baker.

Jean’s family would like to extend a special “Thank You’ to all the staff at Park Place in St. John IN for their care and support.

Funeral Memorial Mass scheduled for August 25th @ 11am, with a short visitation from 10am to 11am at St. Mary Catholic Church Mokena, IL.  Interment, Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park, IL.
