Daniel R. DeLong Jr.

Age 79, of New Lenox, IL passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 17, 2025.

Dan was born in Indianapolis, IN to the late Daniel Sr. and Blanche (nee Brown) DeLong.

Beloved husband of Kathy (nee Lockhart) DeLong; loving father of Heather Danielle (Tim) Kehoe; cherished grandfather of Matthew Kehoe, Johnathan (Katie) Kehoe, Andrew Kehoe, and Hannah Kehoe; proud great grandfather of Elisabeth Kehoe; dear brother of the late Chuck (late Delores) DeLong, the late Marie (late Oren) Dunn, and the late Imogene (late Jim) Wright; loved uncle of Chuck DeLong and several other nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins and friends.

Dan was a manager for the Illinois Housing Development Authority. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the 1st Calvary Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Dan enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and he looked forward to going to the 1st Calvary Division reunion every year. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Private services were held.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dan's name to Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America would be appreciated.
