80, of New Lenox formerly of Frankfort, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 1, 2021. Darleen was born in Chicago to the late Mathias J. and Valada A. (nee Temme) Hoffmeister. Loving mother of the late Daniel Deckelmann, Deborah (Timothy) Howard, Nancy (Ronald) Duda, and Heidi (Richard) Strauss; cherished grandmother of Abigail, Samuel, Hannah, and Adam Howard, Christopher, Matthew (Lauren), and Ellen Duda, Madelyn and Olivia Strauss, dear sister of the late Joy (late Donald) Hayes and the late Lorraine (late Michael) Zeller; loved aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 12:00pm for a Celebration of Life.
