DARREL E. GILLISPIE, SR.

Age 73, of Streator, formerly of the Lockport area passed away on Saturday, April 12th, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Streator.

Darrel is survived by his loving family, children, Darrel (Sharon) Gillispie, Jr., Debbie (Gustavo) Alegre, Tina Lechuga, David Gillispie, Donna Gillispie, siblings, Olive Smith, Calvin Gillispie, grandchildren, Tyler Gillispie, Christina Lechuga, Matthew (Samantha) Wooton, Karina Alegre, Samuel Alegre, Jessica Gillispie, Great Grandchildren, Katlyn Gillispie-Hughes, Gabriel Kulka, Matthew Wooton and many nieces and nephews.

Darrel was preceded in death by his parents, Harrel & Lottie Gillispie (Imler), granddaughter, Summer Gillispie, siblings, Floyd Gillispie, Harrell Gillispie, Jr., Nancy Thomas and Dale Gillispie.

Darrel was a member of the UAW Local #719 and the Lockport American Legion Post #18. He greatly enjoyed boating, fishing, horses and his HAM Radios.

A memorial service will be held at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton Street, Lockport, IL 60441 on Thursday, April 17th, 2014 at 5:00 PM. Interment will be private.
