Darryl G. Clausing

Darryl G. Clausing, age 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at his home in Frankfort, IL surrounded by family.
Darryl is survived by his beloved wife Billie (nee Shillinger) Clausing; daughters, Cathryn (Tim) Wrigley of Frankfort and Julie Clausing of Chicago; grandsons Thomas and Connor Wrigley of Frankfort; and sister Diane Orgill of Las Vegas.
He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Mable (nee Miller) Clausing.
Darryl was born in Chicago Heights, IL on November 23, 1941 and grew up in Crete, IL. He graduated from Crete-Monee High School in 1959. Darryl then went on to attend Millikin University in Decatur, IL and graduated with the class of 1963. He was a proud member of Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Frankfort, where he held many positions in his 50 years there. Before retirement, Darryl was self-employed as a recruiter in the foundry industry. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and golfing. He was a dog lover, and a Chicago White Sox fan. Darryl was a kind man and will be missed by all that knew him.
Services for Darryl will begin on Friday, August 26, 2022 with a visitation at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL from 3pm-8pm. Services will continue the following day, Saturday, August 27, 2022 with a funeral service at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 177 Luther Lane, Frankfort, IL at 11am. Darryl will be laid to rest at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Frankfort. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Darryl’s name to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church’s Bell Tower Fund or LCC K9 Comfort Dogs Ministry’s would be appreciated.
