David A. Vander Luitgaren

David A. Vander Luitgaren, age 70, passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

David is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Donna (nee Zidek) Vander Luitgaren; children, Brian Vander Luitgaren, and Katie Chapman; grandchildren, Hannah, Kyle, Ciara, Declan, Ogie, and Cillian; mother, Marcella Vander Luitgaren; siblings, Lynn (late Raymond) Tuftedal, and Jean (Norbert) Wleklinski.

He is preceded in death by his father, Peter Vander Luitgaren and his brother Charles Vander Luitgaren.

David will be remembered for being a hardworking man, and a dedicated father and grandfather. He always enjoyed spending down time in Door County, WI. He would often be found out in his garden or tinkering around his house. Over all else though, David loved his family deeply and will be missed by all that knew him.

Services will begin for David on Sunday, March 26, 2023 with a visitation at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. in New Lenox, from 4pm-8pm. Services will continue the following day with a short visitation at the funeral home from 8:30am-9:30am with a Mass at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in New Lenox at 10am. David will be laid to rest at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Orland Park.
