62, of New Lenox passed away Thursday, August 01, 2019 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. David was born in Oak Lawn, IL to Thelma J. (nee Maritt) and the late Lester R. Nick. Beloved husband of Debbie (nee Tuftedal); loving father of Danielle (Timothy) Ryan and Derek Nick; cherished grandfather of Jack and Adam Ryan; dear brother of Donna (Russell) Curtis, Deborah (Jerry) Hamning, Douglas Nick, and Dennis (Brian Wolf) Nick. David was employed at the U.S. Post Office Distribution Center in Bedford Park for over 37 years. David was an avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. In lieu of flowers Memorials in David’s name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox on Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 2pm - 8pm. Funeral Service Monday, August 5, 2019 at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment private.
