David Scott Tallon

Of Mokena, IL, formerly of Orland Park, IL, peacefully passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. David was born in Oak Lawn, IL to the late Carl and Beverly (nee Williams) Tallon. Beloved husband of Karen (nee Klett) Tallon; loving father of David (Pilar) Tallon Jr, Lynn (Raymond) Tyrakowski, Michael (Taylor) Tallon, and Brandon (Mallory) Tallon; proud GPa of Layla and Jenna Jabarin, Tenley, Talon, and Ryker Tyrakowski, Weston Marti, Brooks, Quinn, and Avery Tallon; dear brother of Carl, Cindy, Debbie, Cookie, Rhonda, Rich, Laura, Patti, Tanya, the late Jim, and the late Jack; loved like a son by Ronald and the late Lois Klett; cherished brother-in-law of Ron (Michelle) Klett and Susan Klett; an adored uncle and friend of many; also revered by his dogs Brandy, Ruby, and Remi. David started his career with Pepper Construction as an Apprentice Carpenter and worked his way up to Senior Superintendent over his 30+ years with the company. He was a member of the Carpenters Local 141. David was also an avid fisherman and a respected member of the Ranger Cup and the Professional Musky Tournament Trail. His fishing prowess was recently featured in Musky Hunter magazine for his personal record 51-inch Musky caught near ‘Submarine Island’ during one of the countless family trips to his favorite destination: Leech Lake in Walker, MN. Visitation and memorial service for those that wish to pay their respects will be at Parkview Christian Church 11100 Orland Pkwy, Orland Park, IL on Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 1pm until 3pm.
