DIANNE L. SCHULTZ
(EBERT)
Born on January 25, 1951, Dianne was the daughter of the late Edmund and Velma Ebert of Frankfort.
Dianne passed away on April 30, 2023 at Warren Barr in Orland Park, Illinois.
Dianne was predeceased by her brother, Bruce Ebert (Diane). She is survived by her brother Dale Ebert (Lynn), sons Craig and Todd (Michelle), grandsons Caleb and Carter, and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dianne was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Frankfort, where she was a life-long member.
Dianne was a graduate of Lincoln-Way Community High School in 1969. She was involved in marching band, Key Club and Future Teachers of America where she met many life long friends.
Dianne was a member of a large family of aunts, uncles and cousins. Along with her Ebert and Barten cousins, Dianne shared many memories throughout the years. She was always very proud, and grateful for her family.
On September 7, 1974, at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Frankfort, Illinois, Dianne married the late Robert Schultz. Together they celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary 7 months ago.
Bob and Dianne raised two sons together, Craig Robert and Todd Edmund and then shared their love to their daughter-in-law Michelle Lynch.
Dianne was a stay at home mom who raised her boys while Bob was in the Navy. She later transitioned to being a special education teacher. She retired from Rockdale School in 2011.
She was always active in the lives of her family. She was a dedicated chaperone with the Lincoln-Way Marching Knights as well as a constant cheerleader at all of Craig and Todd’s events. Dianne also taught Sunday school at St.Peter’s United Church of Christ for 27 years.
The joys of her life were her two grandsons, Caleb Edmund, 9, and Carter Salvatore, 7. Reading books and drawing together were their favorite pastimes. Her lap was where they always wanted to be.
In retired life, Dianne continued to be a very active member at St. Peter’s. She served on many committees, sang in the choir and was a member of the church council.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Missions and Memorials.
