Dina M. Kartch

Dina Marie Kartch, 54, of Frankfort, Illinois, passed away peacefully on February 6th, 2025, surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Later in life, Dina transitioned into conference and meeting planning, where she built a successful second career with non-profit associations, including the Illinois Park and Recreation Association (IPRA). She was the heart of their large yearly conference, coordinating every detail of an event that brought together over 4,000 attendees, exhibitors, and delegates. 

In October of 2016, Dina faced the hardest challenge of her life when she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, which eventually spread to her brain in August of 2019. For over eight years, she bravely fought, enduring treatments, scans, and doctor's visits, all while maintaining her grace, courage, and love for life. Through it all, Dina remained strong, her heart unwavering. Though her fight has ended, she has been called home to the Lord, where she has been reunited with her beloved mother, Loretta, and many other loved ones who had gone before her.

Dina was a bright shining light in this world who will forever be remembered and cherished in the hearts of those who loved her.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Sunday, February 16th, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  Funeral service, Monday, February 17th, 2025 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 AM and then to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort IL 60423 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM.  Interment, Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park IL.
