Dolores “Dee” Sicinski (nee Blahut)
Age 86, a resident of Joliet, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021. Beloved wife of 64 years to the late John “Shorty” Sicinski; loving mother of Jim (Gail) Sicinski, Michelle (Cass) Wennlund, and Karen (Dan) Mahalik; cherished grandmother of Katelyn Sicinski, Jake (Kelsie) Sicinski, Kirsten Sicinski, Derek (Jorie) Ellenberger, Alyssa (Ben) Hecke, Tommy (Ashley Gardner) Stein, Colt and Luke Wennlund, Kevin and Courtney Mahalik; great-grandmother of Drake and Camden Ellenberger, Liam, Mariellen and Julianne Hecke; dear sister of the late John Blahut Jr. and the late Beverly Fenili; loved aunt of numerous nieces and nephews; also survived by her lifelong friend Marge Persico. Dee was born in Joliet to the late John Blahut and the late Ann Molnar (nee Buneto). She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in New Lenox. Dolores was an LPN and retired from Silver Cross Hospital after 47 years of dedicated service. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 3 - 7 pm. Funeral service Saturday, December 4, 2021 with chapel prayers at the funeral home at 9:30am to St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lightways Hospice, 250 Waterstone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431.
