86, of New Lenox passed away Monday, December 20, 2021. Don was born in Rensselaer, IN to the late Walter Herbert and Reba (Jones) Melton. Beloved husband of Anna (Kesler); loving father of John (Stephanie) Melton, Darlene (James) Stirn, and the late Dr. Mary (Dr. Michael) Kochman; cherished grandfather of Sidney Kochman, Elyse Kochman, Melissa Melton, Samantha Melton, Abigail Melton, Sofia Stirn, Elena Stirn, and Diana Stirn; survived by 6 siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by 3 siblings and 3 half - brothers. Don retired as a Supervisor from Peoples Gas. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of New Lenox. The family will receive friends at United Methodist Church of New Lenox on Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 9:30am until time of Funeral Service at 11:00am. Interment Maplewood Cemetery, New Lenox, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials to the United Methodist Church of New Lenox would be appreciated.
